The distance between the Temple of Aphaia and Sounio matches the distance between the Acropolis and  Sounio, 44 km,  forming an isosceles  triangle. 

It is more than possible that the builders were aware of the exact distances and considered them when choosing a location for the temples but the exact significance of the triangle to the ancient Greeks and the relationships between the sites is still unknown. Also this does not explain why these sites are still considered to have a unique and powerful energy. Maybe we should seriously consider the possibility of an energy grid which covers the planet as an explanation for such phenomena..
